Métaphoriques Cannibales

ɴon-ᴀ is a non-program of transdisciplinary research and creations; where arts, sciences, activism, spiritualities, and sensitive relationships to the world intertwine and weave together to better apprehend the necessity and complexity of paradigm shifts. Comprising artists, researchers, and activists, ɴon-ᴀ seeks to develop new practices, concepts, narratives, and ways of being in the world to think about our relationships with the Capitalocene. ɴon-ᴀ aims to position itself in the near future as a catalyst for transdisciplinarity.
Metaphorical Cannibals is a transdisciplinary collection, where cannibalism is taken as a metaphor, as an open concept for analogies, as anthropopoiesis[1], black box[2], and as a total social fact[3]. Inhabitants of this place are individuals who drink from symbols, imaginaries, occult, intimacy, and do not hesitate to regurgitate images and ideas of extreme violence, paradoxically constituting the universe of their production as a "safe space." The cannibal is a Belgian specialty, composed of a toast covered with "filet américain" (a Belgian variant of steak tartare). Transgressive and provocative, it is a paroxysm of otherness and a fantasy of the Other, allowing us to contemplate ourselves through reflection. Life only has flavor to become meat. Transgression is also going further. Daring to go further. Beyond commonly accepted norms that are all relative and violent. SOFT AND SANGUINE SUBSTANCE We seek speculative tools to think about our world. VISUAL STIMULI HOMOGENIZED BY RED In a polysemic fog filled with chimeras, a taboo pierced with discomfort and anxiety, warm in a belly full of plasma, this transdisciplinary collection is emitted by ɴon-ᴀ. In the wide gap that the opening of our theme offers us, a multitude of approaches rush in: from the ditty to speculative narrative, from critical definition to vorarephilic comic, from photojournalism to experimental poetry, from speculative ecology theory to eroticoccult performance. Let's explore the obscure depths of our ethics to find the foundations of our ontologies... shooting ourselves in the foot. Welcome to the lair of the monster.
[1] An anthropopoiesis, as representations of the inhuman interact with our ways of shaping society and defining the Human, anthropologically, cannibalisms can help define the reality of a society by highlighting the relationships and entanglements between the human and the non-human, the Self and the Other.
[2] A black box (systemic), because only the input "human meat" matters, while all the reasons for this phenomenon are obscured, encompassing a wide variety of practices and symbols integrated into complex social relationships.
[3] A total social fact, as it cannot be isolated; it pertains to the entirety of the representations that a society creates of itself and others.
